Optional companion for the ChronoMetrics clock

The Sensor Helper is a lightweight background process that provides real CPU temperature and GPU utilization data to ChronoMetrics. Without it, the app uses the system thermal state and network throughput gauges instead.

It starts automatically at login, uses minimal resources, and communicates only with ChronoMetrics via localhost.

Install

  1. Open the downloaded ChronoMetrics-Helper.dmg
  2. Double-click ChronoMetrics Helper Installer
  3. Click Install in the dialog
  4. ChronoMetrics will detect the helper within a few seconds

Uninstall

  1. Open the DMG again (or keep it mounted)
  2. Double-click ChronoMetrics Helper Installer
  3. Click Uninstall, then confirm

Or uninstall manually from Terminal:

  1. launchctl unload ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.chronometrics.helper.plist
  2. rm ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.chronometrics.helper.plist
  3. rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/ChronoMetrics
Requires macOS 13 or later on Apple Silicon.
